EU crypto ads required MiCA CASP licence and Google certification from April 23, 2025

Crypto exchange and software wallet advertisers targeting any of the 27 EU member states must be licensed as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA and certified by Google. National licences in Finland, France and Germany were accepted through country-specific transition periods.

Transition periods for legacy national licences expired on different dates by country; France's DASP transition was closed on July 1, 2026 (see separate entry).
