Campaign mutates blocked for accounts with undeclared EU political ads status from April 1, 2026

From April 1, 2026, in v20 through v23 of the Google Ads API and in Google Ads scripts, any account with one or more campaigns missing the EU political advertising declaration fails all campaign-management mutate calls with MutateError.EU_POLITICAL_ADVERTISING_DECLARATION_REQUIRED until the campaigns are declared; reporting and account management calls are unaffected.

Query campaign.missing_eu_political_advertising_declaration = true to find undeclared campaigns; updates that only set contains_eu_political_advertising are allowed through CampaignService.MutateCampaigns, GoogleAdsService.Mutate or BatchJobService.
