Google open-sourced a read-only Google Ads API MCP server for AI agents

Google released an open source Model Context Protocol server for the Google Ads API so MCP-compatible AI applications (such as Gemini) can query and analyze advertising accounts in natural language. The initial release is read-only for reporting and diagnostics.

Google first surveyed developers about an MCP server on July 7, 2025. Third-party coverage describes the server's core tools as list_accessible_customers and a GAQL search tool with resource metadata discovery. A Google-maintained google-ads-api-mcp-setup agent skill was later published in June 2026.
