Google is migrating Local Services Ads out of the standalone dashboard into Google Ads as a new Performance Max campaign type with pay-per-lead goals. Ads still show only on Search and Maps and bill per valid lead, but weekly budgets become daily, manual bidding and vertical-level tCPA are removed, BBB callouts end, and historical LSA performance reports do not carry over.
Phased rollout: August 2026 for select US home and storefront services (pet care, home services, wellness, education); late 2026 for broader groups; 2027 for non-US accounts and remaining categories. Admins get 14- and 7-day notices and lose LSA dashboard access after migration, so Google strongly recommends downloading historical reports first. Google Business Profile details sync one-way into Google Ads.
